Cellular Jail

Cellular jail located in Port Blair, is a mute witness to the tortures meted out to the freedom fighters, who were incarcerated in this jail. The Cellular jail, completed in the year 1906 acquired the name "CELLULAR" because it is entirely made up on individual cells for the solitary confinement of the prisoners. The jail, now a place of pilgrimage for all freedom loving people, has declared as a National Memorial. 

Corbyn’s Cove Beach

The only beach near by the city, corbyn’s cove gets its name due to its unique shape, being one of its kind in the country and is named after Corbyn Chaplain of Port Blair. The beach is flanked at the edges by Japanese Bunkers to remind visitors of the days of Japanese occupation of the island. The Anthropological Museum located west of Aberdeen Bazaar (Port Blair). Chatham Saw Mill

The privilege of not only being Asia’s largest and oldest saw mill, but having an entire Island to itself makes Chatham Saw Mill stand out from the ordinary. Naval Marine Museum

Being an advanced station for the Indian Navy, Port Blair is also home to Samudrika, which is the marine Museum, established, operated and maintained by the Indian Navy. The museum houses a variety of Rare and beautiful corals, for the viewing of the general public. Radhanagar beach

Radha Nagar beach is rated as a world class beach. Radhanagar Beach is a surreal experience. While walking on it one could hear the sound of waves gently splashing against the beach on left ear and on right ear one could hear bird song from the forest. Simply the best of both worlds. Elephant Beach

Elephant Beach is further north from Radhanagar and is popular with Indian tourists. The coral here is probably the best on the island, making this an excellent spot for snorkeling.

Sitapur beach

Sitapur beach is a very popular tourist destination. Snorkeling here plus a small cave to check out.Lots of shells around if you are a shell collector.making this an excellent spot for snorkeling.

Bharathpur Beach

Snorkelling is also very good around the jetty at Neil. edges of the shallow reefs have some live corals, many different kinds of fish and lots of anemones with resident clown fish. Great variety of shells are available but are not supposed to be taken from the islandsThe transparency of the water lets one see the beauty of the Pillar, Star, Brain & Fungia Corals. There are experienced guides to provide assistance for amateur snorkelers and provision of Glass Bottom Boats. Even those not proficient in swimming can enjoy in the shallow waters with ease Great variety of shells are available but are not supposed.

Ross Island

This small island, less than a square kilometer stands right across Port Blair. This island served as the capital to the Britishers from 1858 to 1941 when the Japanese occupied it and converted it to a ‘POW site'. This island homes the ruins of the church, Chief Commissioner's house, the Cathedral and graveyard of the Britishers and few other important landmarks which today is hugged by wild wines and huge roots and trunks of century old trees which are very evocative of the ruins and remains.To reach Ross Island, private ferries are available from Aberdeen Jetty except on Wednesday.

Jolly Buoy Island

Jolly Buoy IslandLocated at a distance of around 15 Nautical Miles from the Wandoor Jetty, inside the Mahatma Gandhi National Park, the Island boasts of a beach of almost white sand and a mixture of both shallow and deep waters and is one of the most coveted spots for snorkelling enthusiasts, closer to Port Blair. The transparency of the water lets one see the beauty of the Pillar, Star, Brain & Fungia Corals. Baratang

Baratang is a renowned island in Mayabunder that lies in between South and Middle Andaman. It includes some captivating limestone caves and, mud volcano that are delightful to watch. Nature lovers can explore the superb Mangrove forest canopies and vegetation covers.

VIPER ISLAND

Again an island of Historical Importance.Britishers used to harbour convicts here. The first jail was constructed at this place later shifted to Cellular Jail. It has a gallows atop a hillock, where condemned prisoners were hanged. The famous rebellion Sher Ali, who killed Lord Mayo the Viceroy of India in 1872, was also hanged here.

Rangat Island

Rangat is a large island in Mayabunder comprising of crystal clear sea beaches and picturesque waterfalls. Rangat has become a well-known tourist hub in Mayabunder due to its panoramic vistas.

Ross & Smith

Saddle Peak

Saddle peak is the loftiest point situated on North Andaman island which provides a breathtaking aerial vista of Andaman and Nicobar islands. It has an elevation of 732m making it the highest peak of the archipelago Bay of Bengal in India. It comprises a chain of dome-shaped mountains and hills which can be reached by trekking through a subtropical forest. Adventurists can explore the famous Kalpong river as well as the Saddle Peak National Park.

Mud volcano

The biggest attraction of Andaman island is Mud volcano which is formed by several geological processes. It is created by clay ejected from underground due to geothermal action. The mud volcano looks spectacular in view. Volcanoes can be seen here but it needs effort to find them.

Laxman Bay Beach

Laxman Bay Beach is an expansive beach that provides a panoramic view of the sunset. The sands of the beach is white in color comprising of dead corals and sea shells. It is an ultimate destination which every nature lover will love to visit. 

Kalighat Creek

Kalighat Creek is a beautiful stream that is surrounded by lush green and dense Mangrove forests and equatorial foliage. It looks breathtaking and is a popular tourist spot for those visiting Andaman.

Karamtang Beach

Avis island

Avis island is a relatively uninhabited beach in Mayabunder. The island has a maroon coloured beach with calm sea and coconut palm trees. The beach is small in size and the sea is home to some nice fishes. The colour of the beach is creamy. 

Rampur Beach

Rampur Beach is famous for its unspoilt beauty and crystal clear waters. The beach is magical in appearance and bathed in beauty. The size of the beach is small and provides view of the enchanting lush green tropical Mangrove forests.

Little Andaman

Little Andaman is a secluded island with a plenty of natural vistas. It is considered to be the fourth largest island of Andaman boasting of beaches, evergreen rainforests, creeks, elephant safaris, and waterfalls.
